The Dreams of Our PEPY Interns

In January we welcomed six new interns – Rin, Chhorvy, Sokhit, Kimnoing, Seangheng, and Hon! We partnered with PEPY Empowering Youth to provide these internships for these stellar university students.

Sadly, this internship is coming to a close and we will see them leave next month. For six months, they worked as English and IT teaching assistants. They experienced teaching both in person (when the situation allowed) and online classes (after schools closed). They helped us in our daily life and were a great support system. We are very thankful and confident to say that they will be amazing future leaders.

Before seeing them go, we wanted to ask them where they see themselves in five years. We will look forward to seeing them accomplish and flourish in their future life. Let’s discover what they have to share !

“In the next five years, my goal is to establish my own small business alongside my friends. Furthermore, I aspire to become an impactful teacher, dedicated to guiding and supporting young adults. Given the lack of educational support in my village, I aim to share my knowledge and deliver motivational speeches, inspiring the next generation to pursue their studies until high school graduation. Notably, among my village peers, I stand as the sole individual who has completed high school and continued to college. I believe that the only way to change the world we live in to be better is education. ” One child, one teacher, one book, one pen can change the world,” said Malala.”
